An industry leading media group are looking for a Sponsorship Director to maximise their sponsorship revenues across a portfolio of exhibitions.
You will be responsible for the sponsorship revenues of a niche portfolio of highly regarded and successful exhibitions. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will implement and execute a sponsorship strategy aimed at maximising sponsorship revenue from existing clients as well as winning new business. Your consultative approach to sales will mean that you are an effective relationship builder who can understand your client's motivations and needs and deliver sponsorship packages which exceed their expectations.
This role will involve the exploration of new sponsor markets as well as seeking opportunities to generate sponsorship deals across the company's entire portfolio, so it is imperative that you have an entrepreneurial approach to research and business development in new markets as well as developing big ticket deals. It is essential that you are an effective manager as you will be responsible for recruiting, coaching, mentoring and motivating a team of Account Managers who will be responsible for both new business sales and the account management of existing clients.
You must be an experienced, successful sponsorship sales professional with a strong track record of exceeding targets. You will be an effective manager who can lead a team to success i their annual targets, whilst still beating your own personal targets. Your communication and negotiation skills will mean that you can quickly build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders alike and you will be comfortable working with people at all levels, including up to senior board level.
This role carries a basic annual salary of up to £60,000, depending on experience, with a realistic OTE of £80,000, as well as a company car and benefits.
