Due to continued expansion my client, a highly profitable, VC funded start-up, based in the London area, is actively recruiting a Senior PHP/LAMP Developer to lead a number of Innovative projects.
Working directly with the CTO you will act as Lead Developer on future project driven work. You will be responsible for the support, development and maintenance of a number of high profile web tools/applications to enhance the user experience.
Job Summary
• The design/development of web based products & tools within an Agile environment
• Supporting existing applications
• Managing multiple priorities, following sprint/project plans and meeting project deadlines
• Mentoring less experienced PHP/LAMP Developers
• Project prototyping with the view to scale up quickly
Skills Needed
• A very strong PHP5 development experience
• Excellent knowledge of designing, building and deploying business applications within the LAMP stack environment.
• A thorough understanding of Object Oriented Analysis & Design principles.
• Good understanding of MySQL/SQL database
• Unix/Linux command line exposure
• MVC knowledge i.e. (Zend, Symfony, CodeIgniter or CAKE).
• Have good front-end scripting skills - (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript libraries (i.e. Prototype, JQuery, Scriptaculous etc)
