Job vacancies to be sent by text?

People seeking work in the public sector, including those looking for IT jobs, could soon be sent information concerning vacancies via their mobiles, it has emerged.
Speaking during a recent conference at Whitehall, Cabinet secretary Sir Gus O'Donnell said that new technology must be harnessed to its maximum effect, particularly given the current economic downturn.
He said: "Expectations of technology are growing all the time. Why can't people get texts about jobs to their mobile phones?"
Sir Gus added that middle management must improve its ability to recognise and channel good ideas, stating that there is increasing pressure to match up growing numbers of people with job opportunities.
Meanwhile, people seeking work were recently advised to prepare their body language before entering interviews in order to maximise their chances of success.
According to Judi James, who made her comments on behalf of the new Optrex ActiMist Eye Spray, candidates should make use of eye contact during such meetings.
